Lottery Registration (*new in 2015)- Entrance to the 2015 Butte 100 is now lottery-based. Cost is $5 to enter the lottery, which will be open from January 1, 2015 to March 1, 2015 on our Athlete360 page. Winners will be notified by email the first week of March and provided a registration code to complete the registration. Winners will have one-week to complete registration. If registration is not completed in one week’s time, the registration is automatically forfeited and will be offered to the waiting list. The $5 lottery fee will be donated; split between the Mariah’s Challenge scholarship foundation and local trail building/maintenance efforts.
Classes: There are 2 category divisions recognized, Pro and Open. Pro Class will consist of Pro/Cat1/Cat2 license holders and Open Class is Cat3 license holders. All racers holding a USAC Pro license, Cat 1, as well as Cat 2 are required to register for the Pro Class.
250 Racer Limit- We are expecting another great racer turnout for this year’s race so note that, again, we have a racer cap of 250 total racers. We are dividing race numbers equally between the two races: 125 100-mile racers and 125 50-mile racers. Per Race rules, previous year’s overall podium finishers are offered preregistration.
Waiting List- The waiting list will also be drawn lottery-style from remaining list of lottery entrants. Those racers unsuccessful in gaining initial entry will be automatically entered into the waiting list. Racers will be contacted by email and phone (if necessary) as openings are reported. Each opening is handled on a case-by-case basis by organizers.
Payouts will be given to the first 5 places of Pro Class racers only! This includes 50 & 100 mile, men’s, women’s & (Pro) Single Speed divisions.
100-mile Registration Fee: $200
50-mile Registration Fee: $150
*Your racer fees include: race jersey, awards, post-race food and drink, race bible, finisher’s mug, & aid station supplies
*Your registration fees DO NOT include a race license. One day race licenses will be available for $10 at the MAC during scheduled race-packet pick-up times.
Cancellations/Refunds: Cancellation is the responsibility of the racer to contact the race, in order to allow time to fill the vacancy (email: firstname.lastname@example.org). Exactly 1/2 the cost of registration fee will be refunded by check. No refunds will be provided after July 12, 2015, no exceptions. No race jerseys or swag will be sent to withdrawn racers.
Transfers are not accepted. The race is not responsible for incorrect information provided.
